HOW IT
WORKS
Source
Artworks are sourced from institutions, galleries, artists or individuals. Prior to platform listing, the artwork’s authenticity and market value is determined by industry-leading, independent experts.
Fractionalise
Shares in the fund holding the artwork are made available to qualified investors in compliance with FCA regulations. Like owning a share in a company, investors own shares in the artwork.
Manage
Artwork is kept in special facilities or free zones in Delaware, Geneva or London. Annual valuations are conducted by independent experts until the work is sold.
Sell
A ‘Mintus Secondary Market’ will be available annually when paintings are valued. Mintus will auction or privately sell artworks, between 2-7 years after Mintus’ date of purchase, once we believe they have reached optimal value.

THE COSTS & FEES

The costs of managing the investment, including insurance, maintenance and storage are included in the investment price. If the purchase price and the standard costs are above the market valuation, Mintus doesn’t offer the painting. As Mintus acquires the paintings directly from galleries and collectors, there are no additional commissions or mark-ups added to the purchase price.
When the artwork is sold, Mintus will manage the exit fees and costs as described in the relevant Investment Memorandum. These will include a fee of 1% of the value of the artwork to cover management costs, and performance fees equivalent to 20% of the profit generated from the sale.
All remaining profit will be immediately distributed to investors.
